Directions of Use : Uniformly broadcast Chlorantraniliprole granules @ 4 kg/ acre in Rice and 7.5 kg/ acre in Sugarcane. For Sugarcane, application is to be done in furrows at planting or at the base of young emerging shoots along the furrows followed by irrigation.

Product Features

  • Controls of yellow stem borer and leaf folder insects in paddy. It is used in paddy 15-35 days after transplanting. 
  • Controls early shoot borer and top borer in sugarcane crop. When used from sowing first irrigation in sugarcane fields, it protects against stem borer. To avoid top borer apply as soon as the top borer eggs are visible 
  • It has Long duration protection 

Mode of Action

  • Opera GR causes contraction and paralysis of the muscles of insects.
  • If Opera GR is applied early in the life cycle , it will prevent the increase in the pest population, increases the yield potential of the crop

Method & Time of Application

  • 15-35 DAT (Days after transplanting) for Rice.
  • In case of sugarcane, application between planting to 1st irrigation is recommended for Early Shoot Borer while for Top borer application should coincide with appearance of Top borer moths.

Safety Instruction and Antidote

Precautions 

  • Keep away from foodstuffs, empty foodstuff containers and animal feed. 
  • Avoid contact with mouth, eyes and skin and inhalation of the insecticide.
  • Wash thoroughly the contaminated clothes and body parts after handling.
  • Wear full protective clothing viz., rubber gloves, goggles. eye/face shield while handling.

Symptoms Of Poisoning Lethargy, nasal secretion and blurred vision. 

First Aid 

  • If on skin, wash the contaminated skin with soap and water.
  • If on the eyes, flushing with plenty of water is advisable. Consult a physician if necessary.
  • If inhaled, no specific intervention is indicated.

 

Antidote No specific antidote is available, treated symptomatically.
